Lydiard House is a magnificent 18th century mansion house located in Wiltshire, South West England. Beautiful mansion house

Lydiard House Conference Centre can cater for a maximum of 110 formally (sit down wedding breakfast) 150 informal (finger buffet). For more information about our menus, please visit our dinners and celebrations page. The house is licensed for civil weddings. The most popular room for holding the civil ceremony is The Bolingbroke situated in the grade 1 listed part of the house which can seat 85 people and is situated on the first floor, overlooking tranquil views of the park. The reception takes place on the ground floor in the Luxborough suite and is close by to the bar lounge area. Pre reception drinks can be taken in this area or on a hot summers day in the court yard. The house is situated in 243 acres of parkland and is owned by Swindon Borough Council. Part of the house is a museum situated on the ground floor at the front of the house.

Stunning wedding photography

The Park is going through a restoration project and has been granted funds by the heritage lottery funding organisation. A lake has been restored and a wall garden which is open to the public. The park lends itself well for brides for stunning photography of backdrops of the house and grounds. Also at the back of the house is St Mary’s church which belongs with the house and dates back to the doomsday times. The Church is often used for weddings and is ideal setting to follow on with the reception at the conference centre which does happen on occasions.
